List the ports you need
Write down each device and display you will connect. Count data ports separately from charging ports, and check whether the hub’s documented functions match your computer.
Confirm host support
A USB-C socket does not by itself prove video-output or charging support. Check the laptop documentation and the exact hub model before purchasing.
Distinguish a hub from a charger
Anker A8383 is a multiport hub. The 511 30W is a USB-C charger. The older PowerPort 40W is a USB-A charging product. These serve different jobs and should not be ranked as interchangeable choices.
